While I love the big brand shows just as much as everyone else, (shoutout Slayyter surprise performance at Tommy, I mean come. on.) I think it’s just as exciting to discover and support smaller brands who are younger creatives with a dream of building their collections piece by piece, sometimes even in addition to a full time job. That’s what made Les Adore’s debut runway show Tassel so exciting. Six talented designers got to showcase their work and their rising brands while surrounded by a community of people to cheer them on and invest in emerging designers.

kymi @kymi.world
Fun, exciting, and with the energy of Los Angeles woven in, Kymi offers pieces that feel vibrant and versatile, allowing the fun fashion girl who loves playing with bold colors and pieces to have a staple set in her closet that she can wear while lounging or out. With a playful outlook on fashion and clothing, founders Kylie and Mimi built a brand for the girl who loves to have fun with what she wears. Their collection currently features a tracksuit-esque set in bubblegum pink and bright orange that can be worn in any way you want. Mix and match, go all pink or orange, wear it to the beach, on a coffee run, or to the bar. As long as you’re having fun with it, there are no rules to how you wear Kymi.

chunni @chunni.co
Designed in NYC by Esha and Nikhita and handmade in India, Chunni’s pieces seamlessly blend Western and South Asian cultures allowing representation and appreciation for South Asian culture to make its way to the streets of New York. The brand name Chunni is, in and of itself, an homage to Indian fashion, as the word for the beautiful matching scarves that adorn all suits, saris, and other traditional womenswear. The pink Anjali dress comes with its own, showcasing how these chunnis perfectly complement and accessorize already beautiful pieces. The Diya set is intricately bejeweled, inspired by similar embroidered details featured often in South Asian fashion. With every piece thoughtfully designed and crafted, Chunni is definitely a brand to watch.

nokshi @nokshinewyork
Celebrating and inspired by Bengali textile craftsmanship, Nokshi is a brand made by Sabrin, bringing Bengali culture to everyday-wear through timeless pieces anyone can wear anytime. Bright color palettes, statement silhouettes, and classic materials give Nokshi a strong footing as an emerging brand. Each piece is minimalistic with a twist, allowing you to elevate and spice up your wardrobe at the same time, with unique pieces every closet has room for.

cleah jolie @cleahjolie
Cleah Jolie closed out the show and turned the Tassel runway into a walk down the aisle. Designed by Cleah, Cleah Jolie is a romantic bridal brand focusing on creating pieces made for love. From pajamas to lounge in, to mini dresses to celebrate in, to beautiful gowns to walk down the aisle in, Cleah Jolie has pieces for every bride, every step of the way. Her pieces feel inspired by our favorite romantic classics, yet still modern enough for a wide range of brides.

Four emerging brands with incredibly driven and creative founders bringing their visions to life through stunning pieces all made Tassel a delightful show to attend and an inspiring day, urging everyone to chase their dreams and bring their creative visions to life. The variety in brands and looks throughout the show showcased how there truly is more than enough space for all of us in the creative and fashion worlds. Allowing others to experience new cultures and our own whimsical worlds through fashion is such a gift and reminded me of how deeply appreciative I am of being in the fashion world. Thank you, Les Adore.
