Welcome to the first installment of State of T Union, a monthly vibe wrap up with some highlights, favorites, and updates from the month.
August was a month of movement and spending time with all my favorite people :). From wrapping up my 2 week trip in Guatemala in Lake Atitlan, one of the most beautiful places I’ve been, to 10 busy busy days in Boston, to home, to a weekend trip to DC, a lot happened. So let’s recap.
Starting off with my thinktanya ig debut, I’m so happy to have another outlet to share content, concepts, blogs, and design. @thinktanya.studio
I always find the end of the summer to be the perfect time to soak up all the summer sweetness you can and this year was no different with a trip to my personal mecca, Georgetown Cupcake (the OG). Been wanting to come to the original location since I was 13 so this was a nostalgic little treat. Another sweet cake-scapade was the cake I made for a friend’s early bday celebration. Kept it super minimalistic with white frosting and black accents but loved how it came out (also was my first completely GF bday cake)! One cake closer to the cakeboss title. Stay tuned for next month’s for my sister’s bday!
Lots of new music too which I’m so happy about. I felt like I was in a mini music rut but the new Royel Otis album fixed that right up. Also discovered and started listening to Balu Brigada right at the end of the month which has become my current obsession so expect a lot of that on next month’s playlist.
Guatemala → Home → Boston → Home → DC. Always on the move, but so grateful to visit new places and spend time in ones I love. Highlights from travel this month included the gorgeous Casa del Mundo stay on Lake Atitlan, finally seeing the Lincoln memorial and National Gallery of Art in DC, and soaking up some final summer moments in Boston.
Huge shoutout to my tan Bershka boots for being my sidekick this month and for the foreseeable future. No seriously, I can’t stop wearing them, they’re perfect.
From a week on the prettiest lake to a roomie boat day in Boston, my camera roll had a lot of lake and ocean which is always such a treat. Sprinkle in some Boston staples like a Beacon Hill Books visit and my first time at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, and you have the perfect August camera roll.
That pretty much sums up my month. As always thanks for following along, until next time! xoxo.
