This may seem very Paul Mescal of me, but it feels only right to start off the year with my first ode being to the one and only Daisy Edgar-Jones. While Daisy is known for her roles in various popular films and tv shows including Twisters, Where the Crawdads Sing, and Normal People, my favorite role of hers is as my style icon.

Daisy has graced the red carpet on numerous occasions dressed to the nines in Gucci, Vivienne Westwood, and Versace, but the looks that solidified her icon status for me were the simple but oh so perfect ones that the Twisters Press Tour brought about. The muted color palettes, matching sets, and emphasis on textures and accessories for completing the outfit make Daisy’s timeless style so effortlessly chic.

While her day to day wardrobe in and of itself is something to marvel over, her red carpet looks are in a league of their own, always exceeding my expectations and leaving me in awe. Daisy delivers every high fashion look she wears with the most beautiful accessory: elegance and grace. Effortlessly poised and graceful regardless of her gown, Daisy never fails to charm the internet red carpet after red carpet in sleek, cascading silhouettes with gauzy, sheer fabrics that always make her look radiant.

Another reason why I cannot get enough of the DEJ lookbook is because she doesn't shy away from having some fun with her outfits. Opting for bolder statement silhouettes, embellishments, and materials, Daisy highlights her playfulness when it comes to fashion and commitment to expressing herself genuinely through what she wears. Her versatility in her sense of style and elegance in every outfit is why I admire Daisy so much and am constantly waiting to see what she’ll wear and do next.
